Filling the Spa
  1. Circulate the spa water for at least 15 minutes before adding chemicals.
  2. Wait for spa water to reach at least 90° F before adding chemicals.
  3. Proper dosage is determined by the number of gallons in your tub. Please refer to the directions on individual products to determine the appropriate amount for your spa.
  4. Test levels of total alkalinity and pH. Add Spa Up or Spa Down to 7.2-7.6 pH.
  5. Test level of calcium hardness. Add Calcium Booster to 150-400 calcium hardness as needed.
  6. Add 1-5 oz. of Control to keep scale and stain from building on the heater element and spa shell.
  7. Add 2-10 oz. of Boost to reduce foam and odors.
  8. Add 1-3 oz. of Boost to 30-50 PPM.
  9. Add 1-3 oz. of Free™ Sanitizer to 30-50 PPM.
  10. Keep the spa cover ON and LOCKED and the air controls closed when not using the spa to keep it warm and ready.


  1. Test water levels of total alkalinity, pH, and calcium hardness every few days and adjust as necessary.
  2. Add ½-2 ½ oz. of Control.
  3. Add 1-5 oz. of Boost for regular use, or 2-10 oz. of Boost for high use. (If the spa is used three or more times per week, use the high dosage)
  4. Add 1/3-1 2/3 oz. of Free™ Sanitizer if the level is LOW or 2/3-3 oz. if the level is VERY LOW.
Clean the filter cartridge at least once a month by soaking in a solution of 16 oz. of Filter Cleaner and 4 gallons of water, then spray it with fresh water to rinse. Replace the filter cartridge every 18 months.
      Every Three Months
  1. Drain water and clean the spa shell every three months with Citrabright, then rinse and polish the shell with Fast Gloss.
  2. Clean the spa cover once a month. Every three months, polish with 303 Protectant to preserve and protect the vinyl.
